Web Operations Specialist (Information Technology)
We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Web Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day management of our digital properties, including our marketing website (WordPress) and eCommerce storefront (Adobe Commerce). Our exceptional products deserve equally impressive digital representation. In this crucial role, you'll ensure both platforms are current, functional, and optimized for a seamless user experience. Reporting to the Senior Website Manager, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute content updates, troubleshoot issues, and maintain site integrity across both environments, ensuring our website matches the quality of our products. Responsibilities
- Manage and triage incoming web-related requests and tickets, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
- Execute routine website updates, including content edits, image swaps, and layout adjustments.
- Perform basic QA on updates and site changes to ensure accuracy and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve low-complexity issues such as malformed content, broken links, formatting errors, etc.
- Maintain and organize digital assets and documentation related to web operations.
- Support SEO hygiene tasks such as updating metadata, alt text, and internal links.
- Assist in testing new features or third-party integrations under guidance from senior team members (as needed).
- Monitor site uptime and basic performance metrics, escalating technical issues as needed.
- Help ensure ADA compliance and adherence to UX best practices through routine checks and updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support content publishing and campaign execution.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with content management & eCommerce systems (e.g., WordPress, Adobe Commerce, Shopify, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Bonus points for experience with SEO (Ahrefs), project management (Jira or Wrike), and A/B testing tools (Optimizely) is a nice to have.
- Project management experience and knowledge of best practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating with both technical and non-technical teams.
- A problem-solver with a proactive mindset and a passion for delivering excellent digital experiences.
Proven ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
