Logistics Technician (Finance)



TransCore (TCI), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Logistic Technician to join our team in Miramar, Florida.

Summary: The logistic technician conducts the administrative and physical tasks involved in the Material Control Operations, which include shipping, receiving, secure storage, inventory, material requirements, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.

Essential job duties and responsibilities

  • Ensures accurate inventory of stockroom.
  • Supports the project's field operations by supplying technicians with the correct equipment promptly based on planned and arising needs.
  • Schedules/provides support on carriers for domestic and international shipments.
  • Operates forklift.
  • Examines stocks, inventories, and distributes the material in inventory to Operations.
  • Supports the project's field operations by supplying technicians with the correct equipment promptly based on planned and arising needs.
  • Informs the warehouse coordinator when low levels of stock quantity (below baseline) are identified and provide alternative solutions.
  • Completes the receiving process for item purchases by the customer following their established guidelines.
  • Supporting Duties include:
    • Updates inventory levels based on changing project needs by consulting with Program Managers and Project Managers.
    • Assists with monitoring inventory by following MOMs equipment check-in and out process, conducting truck audits, and regular warehouse audits.
    • Ensures the field technicians' vehicle has the necessary spare part components following the established truck inventory guidelines.
    • Conducts TransCore's procuring and receiving process.
    • Assists with the upkeep of warehouse locations.
    • Ensures the inventory is accurate and meets the margins required for contract performance.
    • Assists with equipment testing when received from the field from other contractors.
    • Completes RMA process.
    • Tracks and executes equipment warranty.
    • Procures tools and supplies on an as-needed basis to meet field operation's needs - field repairs, special projects, preventive maintenance.
    • Coordinates purchases using local vendor accounts and track them appropriately.

Qualifications and requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in a construction warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must successfully complete the required background/drug screening that TransCore initiates as part of the hiring process; additionally, successfully complete a State Department of Law Enforcement and State Law Enforcement Radio System background screen when required by project.
  • Ability to interact with field staff, Management, and Vendors is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Forklift and or pallet jack experience is a plus.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit; use hands to poke, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and moving traffic. Apply
