A Day in the Life
The Sr. Financial Analyst role within the U.S. Enterprise Accounts & Strategic Channels Finance team will partner with the Enterprise Accounts team to drive sales, improved margins, market share, and enhanced customer experience. This position will provide analytical and reporting support to the Enterprise Accounts Finance Team, Commercial Vice Presidents, and direct leadership teams of the Enterprise Accounts organization. This position will drive reporting and deep dive analytics and provide key financial input on operating and strategic plans to generate forecasts, analyze sales trends, develop AOP, execution of operating unit goals. As a member of the Enterprise Accounts finance team, you will join us as we continue to advance our pursuit of above-market growth and share gain, aiming to achieve our goals and expand the number of patients treated with our therapies. This is a unique role within finance that supports fifteen operating units and our largest US Corporate and Strategic accounts.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs and analyzes financial modeling, trends, variance analysis, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Prepares reports of findings and recommendations, compiles, and consolidates financial plans and provides insights to management.
  • Business partner with Enterprise Account Leaders and operating unit commercial finance partners.
  • Provide in depth revenue and sales performance analytics to assist leadership in growing the business.
  • Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, ad hoc reporting, and analysis.
  • Generate forecast models and manage the financials to ensure achievement of key performance metrics across fifteen operating units.
  • Complete deep dive analysis and reporting required by business including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR's) and Monthly Financial Reviews (MFRs).
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and gaps to forecast and plan. Identify and recommend corrective action plans to mitigate key risks.
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance versus plan and forecast.
  • Assist in the AOP (Quota) process for the Enterprise Accounts sales organization.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 2+ years)

  • 2+ years of financial planning and analysis experience
  • Process standardization
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel modeling experience and PowerPoint. This includes creating pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, and other complex functions.
  • Autonomy: Seasoned individual contributor.
  • Works independently under limited supervision to determine and develop approach to solutions.
  • Coaches and reviews the work of lower level specialists; may manager projects/processes.
  • Innovation and Complexity: Problems and issues faced are difficult, and may require understanding of multiple issues, job areas or specialties.
  • Makes improvements of processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of the job area.
  • Analysis provided is in-depth in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements.
  • Knowledge of various financial disciplines, including Commercial Finance.
  • Experience dealing with ambiguity.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$85,600.00 - $128,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
