Lead Records Management Specialist (Finance)



Job Description:
Role

Acts as an ambassador for Central Records providing education and training related to best retention practices and procedures within the department and across the company. Supervises the work of a team of employees focused on collection and maintenance of records in order to maintain compliance with industry, customer, and federal regulations. Maintains and administers personnel training records to ensure compliance is met.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Train, assist and develop department and Company personnel with retention practices and procedures. Assist with the development of training and production goals, and develop weekly scheduling of shift coverage and tasks.
  • Maintains and administers personnel training records to ensure compliance is met.
  • At the direction of management, update and maintain the department operating guide.
  • Assist department personnel in mobile and ATM deposit review processes to prepare files for electronic transmission to the Federal Reserve. Assist department personnel in the safekeeping of all physical negotiable items throughout their life cycle.
  • Conduct high level, complex and highly confidential research as requested by management.
  • Prepare and process sensitive documents for retention. Assist in special projects as directed.
  • Provide supervision to others through motivation, direction, review and feedback of assigned tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

Experience

Three to five years of relevant experience. Performs work under limited supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems. Refers more complex issues to Management. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.

Education/Certifications/Licenses

High school degree required. Associates degree preferred.

Skills

Work involves personal contact with others both inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information, as well as updating or referring, which typically require short discussions.
