P&O (HR) Generalist- Nom Nom

Nashville, TN

Hybrid (onsite 3 days a week)

As a P&O / HR Generalist at Nom Nom, you'll play a pivotal role in driving people strategy and operational excellence across our Manufacturing Operations. You'll be a manager and oversee the People /HR Coordinator role, serve as a trusted advisor to teammates and leadership, and champion a culture of transparency, engagement, and continuous improvement. This role also supports cross-functional initiatives and corporate projects as needed. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a passion for team-mate advocacy, strong business acumen, and the ability to build meaningful partnerships across all levels. You bring a positive, solutions-oriented mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive P&O/HR experience
  • Proven experience administering employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, FMLA, and leave of absence, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements and the ability to effectively communicate benefits information to associates.
  • Skilled in managing associate relations matters, including conducting investigations, addressing employee concerns, and ensuring alignment with organizational policies and employment law.
  • Proven team leadership and development skills with the ability to delegate strategically for impact.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities; adept at navigating ambiguity and complex situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high levels of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and empathy.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, time management, and task prioritization.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations; committed to compliance and ethical practices.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and support informed decision-making.
  • Self-motivated, action-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, and related tools.

Nice to have

  • PHR or SHRM certified preferred but not required
  • HRIS Experience, including familiarity with Paycom or Workday and other reporting tools

What would be your key responsibilities?
  • Serve as a key HR resource for Associates and management, providing guidance on policies, HRIS systems, procedures, and general inquiries.
  • Lead and develop our People Coordinator role, setting direction and ensuring effective execution of priorities related to our People Function.
  • Partner with our Associate Relations Specialist to resolve complex associate relations issues by conducting investigations and addressing concerns with minimal oversight.
  • Oversee and support benefits coordination, FMLA/leave tracking, annual enrollment, and related HR processes.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships across all levels to promote transparency, open communication, and collaboration, while serving as a subject matter expert on HR policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Partner with learning and development to identify opportunities for enhancing culture and engagement within Operations through targeted programs, training, and initiatives.
  • Apply a continuous improvement mindset to recommend process enhancements and drive cross-functional efficiencies.
  • Leverage data and HR systems to support decision-making, track key workforce metrics, and ensure accurate and timely associate transactions.
  • Support the implementation and compliance of HR initiatives, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements across assigned departments.
  • Maintain accurate associate records and ensure adherence to internal policies and federal/state employment laws.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including offer letters, documentation, exit interviews, and licensure or employment eligibility compliance.
  • Collaborate on associate engagement, HR and Associate events, recognition programs, and culture-building efforts.
  • Assist with audit preparation and ensure HR practices align with legal and organizational standards.
  • Provide cross-coverage and act as a backup to the P&O Director as needed.
  • Contribute to ongoing HR strategy development and process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
