WAVE is currently looking for a Warehouse Coordinator to join our team!

Shift: Afternoon (2:45 pm-10:45 pm Mon-Thurs, 2:30 pm-10:30 pm Fri)

The Warehouse Coordinator is a working leader responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily operations of shipping and the warehouse. Performing the loading and unloading of goods from inbound and outbound carriers, providing to production and other department needs. A coordinator assumes elevated responsibility in that he or she must enforce the compliance of safety policies and procedures, direct activities to achieve performance targets, foster active communication between cross-functional departments, and accept accountability for housekeeping and safety of work area. The General Coordinator will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for all processes and equipment and will be instrumental in driving safety, quality, and performance metrics. The Warehouse Coordinator will lead their team with a strong emphasis on safety and productivity, ensuring operational efficiency while maintaining a safe working environment.

Safety:

  • Promote a proactive safety culture aligned with the 8-Step Safety Process, Think-Plan-Act, and Risk Tolerance principles.
  • Conduct weekly safety walks and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all team members are trained in safe work practices and submit hazard and spill reports as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment through adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Lead safety communications and corrective actions when necessary.

Organizational Vitality:

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment and facilitate employee recognition
  • Support or administer onboarding for new full-time and contract employees.
  • Encourage teamwork, optimism, and engagement within the department.

Coordinator/General Forklift Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the warehouse team to achieve organizational goals, fostering teamwork, engagement, and recognition
  • Coordinate daily shipping and warehouse activities, including loading/unloading goods, inventory control, and accurate documentation (MSS, bills of lading, shipping invoices)
  • Delegate tasks, coach and develop employees, conduct training, and support onboarding for new staff
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and on-site trainer for all warehouse processes and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Promote and lead a proactive safety culture by conducting weekly safety walks, enforcing safety standards, and leading safety communications and corrective actions
  • Perform daily forklift inspections, operate equipment safely, and follow proper stacking and lock-out procedures during repairs or adjustments
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas, monitor adherence to company policies, and ensure all team members are trained in safe work practices
  • Track and report on productivity and quality metrics, complete shift paperwork accurately and on time, and support departmental projects and lean management initiatives (e.g., Gemba)
  • Communicate key messages to the team, lead daily stand-up/shift start-up meetings, and verify accuracy of orders built for shipment
  • Utilize basic computer skills (SAP, SCALE Manhattan, Outlook, Word, Teams) to support warehouse operations and reporting 1.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Preferred: Knowledge and experience with machines in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
  • Preferred: Forklift certification or 2+ years' experience in sit-down forklift/LP operation
  • 1-2 years' experience with WMS (SAP, SCALE Manhattan) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong leadership experience and desire to lead a team
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 70 pounds using proper techniques
  • Clean safety, performance, and attendance record
  • Current WAVE employee in good standing, with familiarity with WAVE operations
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to safety
