Position Overview


We are seeking a visionary Chief Lending Officer (CLO) to lead and oversee our lending practices including Consumer, Mortgage, and Business Services, Commercial Lending, Commercial Credit, and Solutions (Collections) Departments. This executive role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of lending practices, risk management, and financial services. The CLO will play a pivotal role in shaping our lending strategies, fostering cross-business partnerships, and driving sustainable growth while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

What You'll have the Opportunity to do:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive lending strategies that align with DCCU's Organizing Principle and business objectives.
• Mortgage, Consumer & Commercial Lending: Oversee lending originations and operations, ensuring competitive loan products and services that support business growth.
• Commercial Credit Management: Manage within credit risk assessment frameworks to maintain portfolio health and mitigate financial risks.
• Solutions (Collections): Lead collections strategies to optimize recovery efforts while maintaining member relationships and driving financial wellness.
• Cross-Business Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships across departments to enhance operational efficiency and member experience.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all federal and state lending regulations, maintaining transparency and ethical lending practices.
• Executive Leadership: Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to overall organizational strategy and decision-making with alignment to DCCU's Organizing Principle.
• Team Development: Mentor and develop high-performing Leaders and Teams, cultivating a culture of excellence, innovation, development, and collaboration.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

• Proven track record in executive leadership within the financial services industry.
• Extensive experience in mortgage, consumer, commercial lending, credit risk management, and collections.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to drive business growth.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
