Supervisor, Maintenance (Fabrication Shop) (Finance)



Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity. The Maintenance Supervisor who will be over the Mont Belvieu Fabrication Facility will ensure that area is ran safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Have a mindset of Safety First with no exceptions and can broadcast the message to the Fab shop personnel in a professional manner.
  • Understands welding processes and applications.
  • Understand what is involved with fitting pipe in preparation for welding.
  • Has the basic knowledge of how the read and understand WPS procedures.
  • Has knowledge of B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8 piping standards.
  • Has a knowledge of industry standards for vessel, piping, and structural fabrication.
  • Has the ability to read and understand P&ID's, Isometric drawings, and fixed equipment drawings
  • Has the ability to effectively communicate with Enterprise WPS department and mechanical integrity group.
  • Process priority "1" work requests into work orders for assigned areas.
  • Develop job plans and coordinate all job planning and preparation for scheduled work.
  • Generate requisitions for the materials and contract services required to execute planned/unplanned jobs.
  • Ensure all materials, equipment and support are available prior to scheduling the work to be performed.
  • Perform job cost estimating and tracking.
  • Monitor the progress of the work being assigned to the Fab shop and allocate the work force accordingly.
  • Work with operations planning supervision to lock in the subsequent one-week schedule.
  • Perform weekly work order updates with planer to maintain an active back log of jobs.
  • Attend all scheduled maintenance/safety training and assist with training employees as needed.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Enterprise Products' policies and procedures.
  • Interact with all Houston Region Operations as well occasional projects outside of the HRO.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • An Associates degree, technical certification, or equivalent training in a process, mechanical environment, or energy related field is preferred.
  • 5 years maintenance or operations experience in a DOT pipeline facility is required.
  • Broad knowledge of administrative operating procedures in order to effectively comply with company policies and regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Experience with coordinating maintenance-related work including ordering supplies/materials, scheduling contractors and producing job plans is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications such as: Excel, Word, and Outlook are required.
  • Experience using maintenance management software is preferred.
  • Light lifting, squatting, and climbing in an industrial setting is required.
  • Shows willingness to learn Enterprise Products specific business systems and/or new tools.
  • The ability to assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
  • The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders of the business, at various levels of the organization, in a business like and professional manner is required.
  • The ability to modify communication style in order to influence, persuade, negotiate, and engage all parties according to the audience and circumstance is required.
  • Takes initiative and is proactive in addressing issues. Quickly and efficiently completes tasks.
