APRN/Instr. I (Finance)



An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for a full-time position at the Instructor rank. This position prepares and conducts in-depth review of medical records (prior to patient visits for new patients); conducts thorough interviews with patients and/or families at scheduled appointments and creates comprehensive medical histories; performs initial and periodic physical examinations; assesses patients' interpretation of healthcare needs and addresses appropriately. Correlates subjective/objective data to formalize a differential or working diagnosis and establishes/executes a treatment plan. Orders appropriate studies for workup. Educates and counsels patients and families about disease processes & treatment options and discusses plan details. Reviews final results of labs and diagnostic tests/imaging. Creates short-term and long-term treatment goals. Writes orders for changes in medication(s) and arranges plan details (follow up visits, labs/imaging, procedures, referrals, etc); this is subject to review, discussion and approval of counter-signing attending physician. Communicates results/plan with patients and arranges necessary follow up. Updates charts with results and medical records as received.Master's or Medical degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.

This position requires graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64. MUST BE BOARD CERTIFIED/ELIGIBLE IN: Family PracticeWorking at USF

ADMINISTRATIVE - 5% - Assists with physician tasking messages, including results and outpatient phone calls, with management strategy. Assists with care and paperwork needed for research patients. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department. Apply
