About the Role
This hybrid position runs processing machines, which include lasers, saws, CNC drill, and press brakes to fabricate parts according to work order instructions and also supports material handling responsibilities when needed.

Responsibilities
· Fabricate metal parts
· Sort parts after being processed through machines
· Move parts from one department to another
· Labeling and organizing parts before being delivered to the next department
· Send metal parts through machines which include laser, saws, CNC drill, and press brakes
· Responsible for checking quality/correct measurements on each part
· Remove and stack parts according to job order
· Clean up scraps and debris
· Conduct routine maintenance on machines as needed
· Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments to meet organizational goals as noted and observed by supervisor and coworkers
· Execute additional tasks as needed
Additional Responsibilities
· Stage and load correct products for shipping.
· Prepare related documents.
· Quality checks to ensure accurate parts
· Participate in and engage in continuous improvement activities
· Follow established company and departmental precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
· Demonstrate respect and regard for customers and coworkers to ensure a professional, responsive and courteous environment at Minnesota Elevator, Inc.
· Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments to meet organizational goals as noted and observed by supervisor and coworkers.
· Participate in self-development activities to enhance job performance either through formal means (classes, workshops, seminars, in services, etc.) or less structured means (reading, networking, etc.)
· Follow company guidelines regarding punctuality and attendance to ensure a smooth working environment for department.
· Execute additional tasks as needed



Experience
· CNC press brake and laser experience preferred
· 1-3 months of relevant experience

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle objects, tools or reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and walk up to 8 hours. The employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds; the employee is required to request assistance when lifting anything exceeding 50 pounds. The employee is frequently pushing and pulling and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
