Technician Intern - Summer 2025 (Biotech)



Technician Intern - Networking

Technician Intern is responsible for rigorously testing and configuring a variety of networking equipment such as routers and switches.

What you'll be doing:

  • Tests Networking gear such as routers and switches to OEM specifications
  • Properly rebinning equipment to appropriate locations within the distribution centers
  • Properly identifies damaged or non-functioning equipment during testing
  • Proper and efficient testing of all incoming gear. Using Testing platforms and tech logging all testing output into our ERP systems.
  • Interfaces with Shipping, Receiving, Repair, Order Management, and Inventory.
  • Accurately inputs information into ERP system (Oracle)
  • Learns and uses test equipment
  • Maintains safe, clean and organized work space
  • Compiles and types statistical reports including tables and text using spreadsheet software
  • Performs other related duties as required

 

What we are looking for:

  • General PC command line experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift and position material up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and various software packages including skills in Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions and retain technical information quickly
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Demonstrates teaming behaviors including effective communication skills face-to-face, via email, and on the phone

 

Bonus: 

  • Computer networking knowledge
  • Cisco IOS command line experience
  • Knowledge of modern warehouse procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems, and record keeping
  • Knowledge of modern business communication, specifically electronic communication  
  • Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints and diagrams.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and as part of a team, and proceed with objectives without supervis
  • Basic Knowledge of testing methodology                
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

 

Education: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
