We are currently seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Assistant to support the day-to-day upkeep of our beautiful senior living community. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe space, and is ready to make a meaningful difference every day.
What You'll Do
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
- Perform exterior upkeep (e.g., sweeping, trimming, light landscaping).
- Replace light bulbs and clean fixtures, windows, and common areas.
- Report equipment issues and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Help coordinate maintenance work in resident areas while being respectful of their space and privacy.
- Follow safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supply areas in good working order.
- Assist with moving or lifting items as needed.
- Attend staff meetings and training as required.
- High school education or equivalent preferred (minimum 10th grade required).
- General maintenance experience is helpful, but we're willing to train the right person.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and accept feedback.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Comfortable using tools and basic maintenance equipment.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and assist in emergency evacuations if needed.
