Manager, Learning Technology and Content (Finance)



Job Description

The Learning Technology and Content Manager will oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) and lead scalable processes for content development, modularization, localization, and continuous improvement. They will manage the content library and curriculum catalog, ensuring content is well-organized, version-controlled, and easily discoverable. This role will also drive document management and translation workflows, supporting multilingual access to learning materials. Additionally, they will help develop and enforce policies and procedures for content governance, quality, and compliance.

The compensation for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leads the administration, performance monitoring, and optimization of the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure seamless course delivery and improved user experience.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate the LMS with other systems, ensuring data integrity and interoperability.
  • Serves as first line of support for learning technology concerns.
  • Stays current with emerging learning technologies and recommends enhancements aligned with organizational goals.
  • Leads, mentors, and manages the work of instructional designers to ensure content meets quality, instructional design standards, and delivery readiness.
  • Trains facilitators, instructional designers, and support teams on content organization, tagging, discoverability, and use of authoring tools.
  • Embeds quality assurance (QA) checkpoints in the instructional design process to ensure content accuracy, alignment, and consistency across departments.
  • Oversees selection, implementation, and maintenance of content authoring tools; provides guidance and training to creators.
  • Reviews and documents content development processes to ensure quality, consistency, and compatibility with the LMS and third-party tools.
  • Analyzes content health, usage, and learning impact; reports findings to facilitators and stakeholders.
  • Ensures timely availability and access of learning content; sets LMS configurations, escalates technical issues, and defines policies for archival and migration of non-LMS content
  • Manages relationships with LMS, instructional design, and learning tech vendors, advocating for enhancements and staying current on new features.
  • Leads communication processes related to content updates and supports vendor onboarding for content creation or access.
  • Oversees third-party content and service providers, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and contractual obligations.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, instructional design or related field preferred or combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development management is preferred.
  • Superb track record in developing and executing successful training programs.
  • Experience working with Subject Matter Experts and translating content and performance requirements into sound instructional content.
  • Experience with LMS/LCMS and authoring tools administration.
  • Familiarity with learning industry standards.
  • Experience managing a content library, including organization, tagging, and documentation.
  • OFFICE: The role requires mobility within work environments, use of office equipment, lifting up to 20 pounds, clear vision and hearing, effective communication skills, and occasional travel for meetings and training sessions.
