POSITION SUMMARY:

The Careers Services Instructor will provide instruction, orientation, curriculum development, and overall client support to those participating in modules through EARN and Work Ready programs. This position will provide instruction to clients with a variety of barriers, including adult learners and individuals with disabilities. The
instructor will facilitate in various Goodwill locations and must be able to deliver training both in person and virtually.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures and support the use of the LMS and other technology in the delivery of training and development content
  • Facilitate orientation, HIPAA training, and short-term credentialing sessions with program participants.
  • Organize and assist with the development of training procedure manuals, guides and other course materials such as handouts and visual materials
  • Ensure the secure transfer of all required information necessary for referring programs and funders to meet compliance.
  • Rsearch, outline and plan curriculum and lesson plans around departmental and contractual standards
  • Maintain accurate client records and report attendance in accordance with funding source requirements.

External Hiring Range: $17.33 -$18.81/hr

Schedule: Monday – Friday (8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.) Occasional evening shifts with advanced notice. Schedule can vary depending on department needs.

Travel Required:  Yes, some local travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent AND 5 years of experience required. OR 
  • Associates' degree AND 3 years of experience required. OR
  • Bachelors' degree AND 1 year of experience required.

Required Degree(s): Education, Teaching, Psychology, Rehabilitation Science, Social Work, or related field.

Required Experience:Experience teaching, tutoring, or facilitating instruction, required

Preferred Experience: Must be related to working with and/or job search and career services preferred.

REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates are expected to provide current clearances (Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprints, and PATCH) prior to first day of employment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
