Recruiter (Finance)



How you'll make an impact:

As a Recruiter on our People Operations team, you'll play a critical role in identifying and hiring individuals who align with our values and contribute meaningfully to our mission and growth. While full-cycle recruiting is at the core of this role, we're also looking for someone eager to contribute towards continuously improving our systems, tools, and processes.

Our recruiters are strategic partners who ask, "Can this be better?" and "Is there a smarter way?" We approach our work with a mindset of innovation and service, consistently seeking to elevate the experience for candidates, hiring managers, and teammates alike.

We're looking for a collaborative team player and self-starter-someone who raises their hand, asks thoughtful questions, and brings curiosity, ownership, and optimism to everything they do.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Attract, source, pre-screen, and hire talent to enhance the skills of our team and culture of our workplace.
  • Provide thought leadership and collaborate with hiring managers regarding resource planning and proactive sourcing to build pipelines of top talent.
  • Use creative sourcing techniques to build a team that represents the diversity of our broader community.
  • Coordinate video and in-person interviews with Strata team members and candidates.
  • Seek to build relationships with candidates to understand what matters most to them & their key motivations, balancing their needs and wants with ours. We seek to find a great fit for both candidates and Strata!
  • Effectively evaluate candidate technical skills and behaviors focused on making sure the role is a fit vs. just filling a position; Use experience and data to educate and inform hiring recommendations.
  • Provide a consistent and positive hiring experience to both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Consider and challenge position requirements, candidate qualifications and hiring guidelines as appropriate to attract great people to be part of our team.
  • Manage multiple requisitions and be agile as priorities for hiring evolve across the company.
  • Grow and maintain exceptional skills in negotiation, strategic thinking, talent assessment and handling challenging conversations.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of integrity - our reputation matters greatly so regardless of the outcome; it is essential our Recruiters make the experience a positive one for our candidates.
  • Be a brand ambassador for Strata, pursuing opportunities to become embedded in the financial tech and HR communities and sharing company, culture, and value information with candidates to position Strata as a top workplace.

What we're looking for:
  • At least one year of experience in a fast-paced recruiting or talent acquisition setting, a plus if you've recruited for finance, healthcare, Fintech or any SaaS organization
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers, interviewers, and team members as a trusted resource
  • Proven abilities to attract passive candidates by using creative sourcing methods
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Proven abilities creating candidate pipelines for future openings
  • A passion for building teams and delivering outstanding candidate experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, we aim to provide a balance of friendliness and professionalism with our candidates and hiring managers
  • An understanding that independence is important, but teamwork is critical
  • A developed confidence and strong self-motivation.
    • You'll really wow us if you have:
      • Technical recruiting experience - we especially love if you've recruited for a .NET environment.
      • Greenhouse ATS experience
      • Experience with creating, enhancing or leading programs related to recruiting such as an Internship program, rotational programs, culture enhancing related programs or projects.
      • Process Improvement related projects - specifically related to recruiting processes

Estimated Salary Range: $58,000-70,000Actual salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skill set and level of experience. This salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Strata also provides discretionary variable pay programs based on role. In addition, Strata provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits, health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental leave, life and accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits.

How we work:The preferred location for this role is in Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO. We value our people spending time together and have campuses hosting in-person events located in both cities. We are truly a hybrid environment with all team members experiencing the flexibility to work from home.
