The Role:
The Underwriter I analyzes and prices workers' compensation exposures for new and existing business under supervision. This role determines appropriate premium rates and class codes, prepares quotes, processes renewals, and adjusts payroll, rates, and premiums. Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing monthly assigned renewals.
Evaluating auditor notifications and applying policy changes after agent communication.
Providing quote assistance to book underwriters.
Collaborating with all book underwriters across multiple portfolios.
Salary range $50,000-$55,000 annual equivalent; $24.03-$26.44 per hour determined based on experience and internal salary equity.

Who we're looking for:
We need a detail-oriented, self-managing team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and proactively identifies solutions. A sense of humor is a plus!
High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's or CPCU preferred.
4+ years of business office experience, ideally in underwriting with insurance and workers' compensation knowledge.
Familiarity with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to obtain an Oklahoma Property and Casualty Producer license.
Valid driver's license, motor vehicle insurance, and personal vehicle for occasional travel.
