Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Staff Environmental Engineer to join our Resilience Environment team in Cleveland, OH

As a Staff Environmental Engineer, you will collaborate with scientists, engineers, project managers, and technical experts on various activities in support of diverse environmental assessments and remediation projects. You will be involved in a mix of technical work, such as remediation system design and implementation, assessment of remedy performance, operation and maintenance of systems, and management tasks, such as coordinating fieldwork conducted out of other offices and managing project schedules and budgets. You will be an integral part of Arcadis' national and global network of PFAS practitioners with opportunities for rapid professional growth and challenging

Role accountabilities:

In this role, you will assist in the assessment and development of environmental remedial strategies throughout the project lifecycle, including Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, and Remedial Designs. This includes providing technical support to site investigations, development of conceptual site models, assessment of potentially applicable remediation technologies, remedy design and implementation, and performance assessment. You will perform data management and evaluation in support of these tasks, including preparation of data visualization tools (i.e charts and drawings), assessment of in situ biogeochemical and contaminant migration conditions, and preparation of technical specifications and design calculations. You will also contribute to technical document preparation, including figure generation, data management, and text.

  • The ideal candidate has expertise with technologies for the in situ sequestration of PFAS, and experience with the Dept of Defense's ESCTP/SERDP programs
  • This role also requires coordination of investigation and remediation field activities, including well installation, soil/groundwater sampling, and remedy implementation.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Engineer-In-Training certification or Professional Engineering license
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and appropriate annual refresher certifications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or closely related field

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $70,800 - $106,200.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
