Senior Manager Global Consolidation (Project Management)

Job Description

Lead the monthly Global close, consolidation and financial reporting process to the highest level of quality, including deliverables for investors and lenders.
Lead the implementation of control and process improvements for the global consolidation and financial reporting, as well as IT enhancements for Oracle FCCS.
Manage a team of 10+ Consolidation accounting professionals.

  • Manage the monthly close and reporting of global financial results in Oracle FCCS, involving intercompany transaction review and resolution, preparation and review of topside adjustments, detailed review of consolidated balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and adjusted EBITDA, and presentation and explanation of results to upper management.

  • Manage GAAP to management and non-GAAP reconciliations, including reporting to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Review deliverables in detail to ensure the highest quality standard in financial reporting.

  • Manage the preparation of deliverables for quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, and management's discussion and analysis of results (MD&A). Provide other supporting schedules as needed for tax or audit purposes.

  • Review and approval of updates and changes to the global consolidation and reporting tool, Oracle FCCS. Evaluate the impacts of new accounting and reporting rules.

  • Lead large-scale projects to implement process improvements for the global close and financial reporting. Work cross functionally to manage change and enhance communications with stakeholders. Key projects include but are not limited to chart of accounts alignment, pro forma reporting, segment reporting, and legal entity reorganization.

  • Design, implement and manage key internal controls over the close and consolidation process, including review/approval matrices, checklists and close procedures, global analytics templates, and key spreadsheet controls.

  • Support new business initiatives, system integrations, Oracle FCCS IT enhancements, M&A activity, and other major change management impacting financial statements and related systems.

  • Represent Medline interests to internal and external parties through preparation and/or review of key deliverables - e.g., CFO and divisional leadership interactions, FP&A/tax/treasury partnership, and presentations/schedules for leadership, sponsors, lenders, tax authorities, auditors, and other stakeholders. Prepare and/or review bridges for management to GAAP reporting and non-GAAP measures.

  • Collaborate with FP&A, Global and Regional Accounting, Internal Audit, external auditors, tax and other important members of Controllership as needed

Management responsibilities:

  • Typically manages through multiple Managers and/or Supervisors

  • Oversee major projects/programs/outcomes

  • Budget responsibility

  • Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects; develop, recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies

  • Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning

  • Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business

  • At least 8 years of accounting experience, at least 2 years focused on financial reporting, consolidations, or technical accounting.

  • Experience working with a consolidation system (Oracle EPM, BPC).

  • Experience applying advanced knowledge level of accounting practices, controls, and systems. Experience at a large, global company with multiple legal entities and a complex consolidation structure.

  • Experience performing accounting research for consolidation transactions.

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Accounting strongly preferred.

  • CPA strongly preferred.

  • Experience at a public company with SEC reporting requirements (or public accounting experiences with listed clients).

  • Experience leading change management. Experience leading projects.

  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and training staff.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$132,600.00 - $199,160.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
