POSITION PURPOSE

The Intern performs all basic office and administrative tasks to efficiently support the Division/Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Employee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with Sunland's Core Values at the forefront.
  • Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs a wide range of administrative and clerical duties relative to the maintenance and processing of records, reports, spreadsheets, and other documents which could include data entry, filing, copying, operating business machines, data base maintenance, applicant tracking database, etc.
  • Provides clerical and operational support to other Phoenix Division staff.
  • Assists with meeting arrangements, assist with coordinating activities and events, etc.
  • Assists managers with projects.
  • Holds self-accountable for accomplishing assigned tasks, teamwork, and meeting productivity, quality, and accuracy standards.
  • Fosters favorable working relationships with all other company employees to maximize employee morale, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Maintains confidentiality of personnel records, files, and information.
  • Any, and all other duties assigned. Safety

  • This is considered a non-safety-sensitive position but is subject to the company's drug and alcohol policy, as well as all OHSA regulations.
  • All employees must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
  • Serves as a safety ambassador by complying with federal, state, and local laws, as well as Company safety policy, enforces safe work practices, and proactively identifies and remedies worksite hazards.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This position operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment requiring the ability to communicate in person and over the telephone with other employees, the ability to interpret printed materials and a computer screen, the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, the ability to lift and carry supplies and files weighing up to 10 pounds and to move about the inside of the office to access supplies, office machinery, etc.
  • May be required to work on a project site and if so, would be exposed to all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • Employee may be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.

TRAVEL

  • No travel required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Work Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous office and/or HR experience is plus.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Experience with Adobe Professional a plus.
  • Must be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write English.
  • Bilingual: Spanish Fluency desired.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
  • A valid driver's license and a clean motor-vehicle record preferred.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required.
