Inspector - Level 3 - FAA - Alt Shift 3*12 (Finance)



As an Inspector - Level 3 here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our aerospace products and services. Your expertise will help maintain our high standards and contribute to the safety and reliability of our offerings in the aerospace sector.

You will report directly to our Quality Manager, and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on an Onsite work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the overall quality assurance process, ensuring that all products meet the required specifications and standards, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and trust in our aerospace solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and verify quality
  • Recommend improvements
  • Conform to specifications
  • Record observations
  • Audit quality control programs
  • Develop specs and procedures
  • Improve quality practices
  • Inspect machined work pieces to ensure conformance to specification
  • Read blueprints and engineering specifications to obtain product information
  • Complete all necessary inspection forms and reports
  • Report unusual problems or conditions to colleagues and supervisor
  • Observe company safety rules and regulations

Shift available: Day shift (6:00 AM to 6:30 PM), Night Shift (6:30 PM to 6:00 AM) - 3 days per week for 12 hours each

FAA REQUIREMENTS

All applicants for placement in DOT/FAA safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test, testing for Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamines (amphetamine, methamphetamine, MDMA, MDA), Phencyclidine (PCP), and Opioids (codeine, heroin, morphine, oxycodone, oxymorphone, hydrocodone, hydromorphone). The DOT/FAA regulations require all employees, regular and temporary, in safety-sensitive positions, to be included in the Honeywell Anti-drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Plan.As an Inspector - Level 3 here at Honeywell, you will ensure product quality through meticulous inspection and testing, maintaining high standards and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.You will report directly to our Quality Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on an On-site work schedule.YOU MUST HAVE

  • 36 months of previous experience as FAA designee or 36 months experience as a commercial/military inspector or 36 months experience as an FAA inspector.
  • 18 months of repair and overhaul or line maintenance experience
  • Knowledgeable of mechanical and electronic components/assemblies.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office

  • Proactively and clearly communicate important, comprehensive, and specific information that others need
  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures in quality control inspection field
  • Lean - Six sigma knowledge and certification
  • SAP experience
  • Good analytical and creative problem-solving skill
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to read technical data and specifications
