Analytics Sales Consultant - Identify & Fraud (Finance)



Equifax's Analytics Solutions Consulting team is seeking an Identity & Fraud Analytics Sales Consultant to develop strong relationships with clients, recommend appropriate profitability driven solutions, and jointly design and architect comprehensive fraud prevention strategies leveraging Equifax's suite of solutions. Our Consultants are client facing, recognized experts who have held key positions within the various industries we serve. From this base of knowledge and experience, the consultants become interactive partners, designing solutions tailored to meet immediate business goals.

This position will work with Equifax's US client base, with a focus on consumer lending institutions , and the ever changing fraud landscape they manage. The Analytic Solutions Consultant is responsible for demonstrating the value of Equifax solutions and assets based on actual client data. In doing so, the Consultant enhances the client relationship, drives new programs/revenues and positions Equifax as a strategic advisor. The Consultant is a quantitative thinker who has a solid grasp of Equifax's data and associated assets, an ability to identify and understand the impact of market and economic trends, and a keen understanding of client business needs. The Consultant proactively identifies and designs quantitative analyses to generate new sales opportunities and support ongoing sales initiatives for the Equifax US account teams.

The Consultant is responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of the prevailing economic environment and its key drivers, the changing business needs of clients and important trends in fraud patterns within the consumer lending market. This individual establishes relationships within clients and is viewed as a trusted fraud expert and analytical partner. The Consultant collaborates with the sales team, data & analytics teams, and the rest of the Equifax organization to optimize the use of our data and analytical assets.

The Consultant also acts as a project leader for the development and delivery of analytical solutions such as score validations, fraud policy analysis, and custom fraud model development and deployment. He/she must work well in a team environment yet be a self-starter. The Consultant cultivates key relationships and provides client feedback to the account team.
What you'll do

  • Co-develop (with sales partners) and execute plans leveraging Equifax solutions to enable revenue growth and market share
  • Leverage a consulting approach for improvement to systems and processes already in place with the client (layering of fraud solutions to balance cost, friction, and fraud mitigation)
  • Provide proactive solutions, consult with the client on their data/processes and highlight opportunities where Equifax data and analytics can positively impact the business
  • Work closely with the account relationship teams, data science teams, and key internal stakeholders & management to produce client facing presentations and other materials that clearly demonstrate the value of each analytic solution
  • Engage internal stakeholders, sales leadership, internal analytic teams and system/IT infrastructure teams to enable successful deployment, integration, and consumption of Equifax solutions by the client
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and data science teams to customize solutions and address specific client needs.
  • Travel: 25% on average
What experience you need
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field of study or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in some or all of the following areas: 1) Credit risk and fraud analytics, as well as general credit file or credit account analytics; 2) Credit risk and fraud strategy development (scores, policy rules); 3) Fraud prevention, risk management, or a related consulting role within the financial services industry
  • Deep expertise in consumer lending products (credit cards, mortgages, auto loans, personal loans) and the associated fraud types (first-party fraud, synthetic identity, account takeover, bust-out fraud)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Experience with fraud detection platforms, rules and decision engines, and data analytics tools (SQL, Python, R)
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (BSA, AML, OFAC, ECOA, FCRA)
What could set you apart
  • Certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or similar
  • Experience with machine learning and AI applications in fraud detection
  • MBA or Graduate degree in relevant field
  • Proven experience in a client-facing sales or consulting role, with excellent communication and presentation skills

Equifax is required by law to include a good-faith salary range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. At Equifax, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $129,830 to $170,000. This position is also eligible for our annual incentive program.
