Sr. Manager, FP&A(Commercial) (Finance)



In alignment with the guidance and directives from the Commercial FP&A SFO, this role will oversee the day-to-day activities of the Commercial FP&A analysts, ensuring they are aligned to the team's key priorities and deadlines. This leadership is directly in support of the broader team directive, to provide proactive and insightful financial analysis to support the USIS business unit to enable USIS to reach its short and long term strategic and financial objectives.

This role will often interface with the Senior management team to deliver financial information in a concise and meaningful manner to foster effective decision making. This position will be one of the Subject matter experts for Finance within USIS, and will have an influential role with the Management team(s).

What you'll do:

  • Oversee analysts' recurring and ad-hoc work to ensure accuracy, timeliness and relevance
  • Provide analysts with feedback and coaching in support of continuous development
  • Drive value-added planning, budgeting and forecasting activities. Work with various areas of the business and business unit management to prepare annual budgets, including summarizing the budget and preparing presentations supporting business initiatives.
  • Analyze team spending (operating and capital) and trends, and preparing a myriad of reports and synopsis of the business results for reporting to the business and management.
  • Work with the various areas of the business, managers and business unit management on monthly financial forecasts reflecting expenses, headcount, capital and other metrics.
  • Develop business cases along with the business case sponsor and various business areas.
  • Assist in preparation and implementation of new standardized reporting model (COGS, COS, Development, G&A, etc.)

Experience you'll have:
  • 5+ years financial planning & Analysis experience
  • Work collaboratively with the other FP&A team members in preparing monthly forecasts and the annual budget, identifying opportunities to enhance financial outlooks, and other analytical tasks and projects.
  • Forecasts and plans resources for complex projects or initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing support to the business.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance ppr related field.

  • Strong analytical, modeling and statistical skills
  • Detail oriented and timeline driven with an emphasis on accuracy and results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven creativity and problem solving ability
  • Ability to work either independently or in a team environment, depending on the task
  • Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint skills preferred
  • Hyperion, Oracle and database skills a plus
