This position typically reports to an Admissions Recruiter/Advisor or to a higher level administrator of an Admissions or Registration department, or other appropriate college or campus unit. This position may work with recent high school graduates, transfers from community colleges, or students entering specialized graduate programs, such as physical therapy, biomedical sciences, business, engineering, etc. Incumbents assigned to this position could also work with the graduation application and certification processes. This position may also work with individuals with disabilities to assist them through special processes, or with International students to assist them with immigration documents, admissions, and assignment to special advisors. The Enrollment Management Specialist performs a variety of administrative support functions that require knowledge of admissions/registration processes, and the ability to develop positive interactions with students, prospective students, and their parents. This position is more complex than the lower level Enrollment Management Assistant in that this position has much more interaction with the students and parents to provide in-depth information about enrollment procedures. The Assistant level is focused more on data entry and the processing of documents, as well as initial customer service. This Specialist position can be distinguished from the higher level Admissions Recruiter/Advisor in that external student recruitment is not a regular function of this position. The Specialist position is not regularly and customarily required to represent the university at high schools, community colleges, and other large venues within and outside the State of Florida.This position requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate related field of study; or a High School diploma with a minimum of three years of directly related experience. In a specialized academic area, this position may require or prefer a degree in that field of study. Greets and/or meets with prospective and current education abroad students.
Provides frontline information and advice regarding program offerings and admission requirements and enrollment procedures.
Provides information by telephone, correspondence, in person, and e-mail (answers main Education Abroad phone number and email routes calls and emails if appropriate).
Assists with the planning of recruitment events. Books space, enters event information into BullsConnect and USF World calendars, orders catering, event marketing support.
Coordinate scheduling of recruitment staff at campus events.
Provides recruitment support to the recruitment team. Updates information pertaining to students' recruitment and status using university systems.
Assists with lead generation and tracking. Follows up with prospective students (leads).
Supervise student employees (FWS or OPS) who assist with office coverage or student recruitment efforts.
