Job Description:

• \tPrepares and maintains equipment, instrumentation, and tools, as directed, through washing, drying, and proper storage.
• \tAssembles scrub packs and processes them via autoclave
• \tMaintains an efficient and clean work area by organizing and re-stocking as needed.
• \tChanges garbage and brings to dumpster as needed.
• \tMaintains laundry by washing, drying, and folding surgical gowns, towels, blankets, and other items as needed.
• \tRestocks supplies and general cleaning in vivarium and scrub sinks.
• \tCreates and labels products appropriately and thoroughly checks products for expiration dates.
• \tPrints, files, and archives paperwork as needed
• \tOther duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Technical Competencies:

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Working Conditions:

• The Associate is regularly exposed to, and may come in contact with, a variety of livestock, domestic and laboratory animals. The Associate may be exposed to sharps, gasses such as CO2 and isoflurane, fluoroscopy, zoonotic diseases, wet conditions (non-weather), and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud. Hearing protection is required in designated areas and when performing specific tasks.
• While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear, reach with hands and arms, and is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to perform meticulous tasks. The Associate is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The Associate may be required to stand for extended periods of time

Pay Range Minimum:
$14.81

Pay Range Target:
$23.00

Pay Frequency:
Hourly
