Director of Community Marketing

Are you a dynamic connector, strategic thinker, and results-driven marketing professional? American Senior Communities is seeking a Director of Community Marketing (DCM) to play a key role in driving occupancy and building meaningful relationships across multiple senior living communities.

The DCM is responsible for creating and sustaining strong partnerships with referral sources, developing new business opportunities, and leading community-based marketing initiatives. This role is critical in driving lead generation, referral development, and conversion strategies that ensure our communities thrive.

What You'll Do

As a Director of Community Marketing, you will:

  • Build, track, and nurture relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and other referral partners.
  • Identify new opportunities to increase referral pipelines and inquiries using our CRM.
  • Develop and support partnerships, working with internal department leaders to expand reach and engagement.
  • Analyze market trends, competitors, and demographics to shape marketing strategies that drive results.
  • Collaborate with community leadership to execute outreach, networking, and community engagement strategies.
  • Represent communities at trade shows, professional associations, and community events.
  • Track key performance metrics (referrals, conversions, move-ins, occupancy) and provide regular reporting.

What We're Looking For

  • A relationship-builder who thrives on connecting with healthcare professionals, referral partners, and community leaders.
  • Minimum of 3 years, successful background in healthcare business development, sales, or marketing. Senior Living preferred.
  • Strategic mindset with proven ability to generate leads, drive conversions, and achieve occupancy goals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills.
  • Highly organized with experience using CRM tools and analyzing market data.
  • Collaborative spirit—someone who can partner with leadership, team members, and referral partners to achieve shared goals.

  • Supportive Presence:  Creating a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents, prospective residents and loved ones.  Clear, effective communication with facility team, referral sources, and customers. 
  • Collaboration and Communication:  The ability to work closely with referral sources, administration, and families towards common goals.   
  • Teamwork:  The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents.
  • Attention to Detail:  Utilize facility CRM to identify, track, and foster relationships with referral sources to generate traffic into the community.
