Senior Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist (Finance)
GENERAL SUMMARY (What is done and why)
The Senior Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for managing all commercial loan documentation from loan approval through closing of the loan. This includes reviewing approvals to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing and preparing the pre-close checklist; ordering third- party documents and reports as needed; obtaining and verifying all required information; preparing loan closing documents to ensure compliance with all guidelines and regulations; coordinating closings with the Commercial Loan Officer or branch; and providing complete loan files to Commercial Operations for booking, funding, and on-going servicing. . This position is also responsible for creating and maintaining effective relationships with Commercial Loan Officers, Commercial Credit staff, and branch personnel, while keeping them informed and updated during the process, as well as maintaining professional and effective communication with all Credit Union members and third-party vendors.
The Senior Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist typically handles the more complex or detailed loan closings, serves as a mentor to less experienced documentation specialists, and assists or resolves complex problems, issues or questions related to loan documentation with demonstrated ability to make decisions under pressure or time constraints.

Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most work is done from a seated position. Must have mobility to move throughout the Credit Union as necessary. There is potential for eyestrain from reading the computer screen. Deadlines, workloads and pressure to achieve goals may cause increased stress levels.
Working Conditions (Typical working conditions associated with this type of work and environmental hazards, if any, that may be encountered in performing the duties of this position)
Internal - Work is normally performed in climate-controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of duties. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to accommodate deadlines or special meetings.
