Senior Tech Support Professional (Finance)



We have an opportunity for a Senior Tech Support Professional to join our Honeywell Building Automation team in Independence, OH.

This role is part of the Global Remote Buildings Operation Team, delivering 24/7 engineering response and support to Honeywell Connected Sites worldwide under defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). As a Senior Technical Support Professional, you will be the first point of contact for contracted customers, working within an office-based team across various shifts. You will provide technical support on Building Automation Systems, perform fault detection and diagnostics, validate and analyze system profiles and usage, and ensure timely and effective resolution of system issues.

It will be your responsibility to ensure our customers gets their issues resolved in the most expedient way possible and in accordance to their SLA agreements. You will achieve this by offering Remote Fixes and Escalations to Product and Engineering Teams and directly interfacing with customers.

  • Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Electronics, Mechanical, Management, Computer Science or a Technology related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Building Automation Systems and Tridium Niagara.
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with customers, either in person or over the phone.
  • Strong understanding of building services, energy management, and control strategies.
  • Experience in remote technical support and fault diagnosis.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work a 24/7 shift pattern with reliable time management.

  • Demonstrated experience in Maintenance, Repair, Installation & Operation of Building Energy Management Systems.
  • Relevant technical experience with Honeywell systems.
  • Significant customer service experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Knowledge Management & Call Center Management

Remote Technical Support

  • Deliver expert remote assistance for global contracted customers.
  • Handle diverse technical queries and escalate non-standard issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with Field Service Account Handlers and third-party providers to resolve customer concerns

System Diagnostics & Optimization
  • Identify and resolve faults using diagnostic tools.
  • Modify configurations to enhance system performance and apply control strategies effectively.
  • Maintain clear documentation of troubleshooting steps and resolutions.

Control Strategy Implementation
  • Integrate and optimize control strategies within BEMS platforms.
  • Ensure alignment with energy efficiency goals and operational requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement through feedback and technical innovation.

TLS Certificate & Software Management
  • Validate, install, and manage TLS certificates for secure system operations.
  • Commission software and configure controllers, maintaining accurate version records.

Network & System Performance
  • Monitor Niagara network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Adjust settings to support reliable control strategy execution.

Reporting & Compliance
  • Produce and validate customer reports.
  • Update systems to meet functional and compliance standards.
  • Document workflows for recurring activities and notify stakeholders of non-conformities.

Collaboration & Development
  • Work with engineering and technical support teams on product issues.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to service development initiatives.
  • Support leadership in refining service offerings and training programs.

Customer Focus
  • Liaising with Commercial Account Handlers to resolve customer queries
  • Understand the customer requirements for the functional set-up of the customer site.
  • Verify the analytical results of the customer needs against the applicable internal guidelines.
  • Providing remote technical assistance for Global Multibrand Contracted Customers
