Job Description
Primary Function of this Position:

The Senior Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, implementation, and management of the organization's IT infrastructure including data centers, cloud services, networks, telecommunications, and disaster recovery. A key part of this role involves planning and implementing infrastructure to support the opening of new facilities and modifications to existing facilities, ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient technology operations that align with business objectives.

This position reports to Senior Vice President, IT. The primary responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Define and execute the IT infrastructure roadmap aligned with enterprise goals and future growth.
    • Collaborate with business leaders and project teams to align technology infrastructure with organizational needs, including physical expansion.
  • Infrastructure Planning & Deployment:
    • Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure to support new facilities, including office spaces, manufacturing factories and related business facilities.
    • Oversee technology-related modifications for facility remodels, consolidations, and relocations.
    • Coordinate with construction, real estate, and business and IT operations teams to integrate IT planning into facility development timelines.
  • Infrastructure Operations:
    • Ensure high performance, security, and availability of enterprise-wide infrastructure, both on-premise and cloud-based.
    • Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure design, monitoring, and automation.
    • Plan for capacity, scalability, and disaster recovery.
  • Team & Vendor Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of infrastructure professionals.
    • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service levels for infrastructure solutions and deployments.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance:
    • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR).
    • Integrate security best practices into infrastructure design and facility expansion projects.
  • Budgeting & Performance Management:
    • Develop and manage budget.
    • Monitor infrastructure performance metrics and ensure alignment with business continuity plans.
Qualifications
Skill/Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, including leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and deploying IT infrastructure to support new facilities, renovations, and space planning.
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure such as compute, storage, network, virtualization (on-prem and cloud), data center management, and infrastructure capacity planning,
  • Proven experience in developing long-term infrastructure strategies that scale with organizational needs while optimizing cost efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of facility-related IT requirements including structured cabling, network closets, HVAC for IT, and power redundancy.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and interface with construction, real estate, and facilities management groups.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills, including the ability to mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace, and execute with limited information and ambiguity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
  • Competent in project management, governance formulation, and team management
  • Hands-on experience in project/portfolio resource planning, reporting, prioritization, and budgeting

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $248,400 USD - $372,600 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $211,100 USD - $316,700 USD
Shift: Day
Workplace Type: Set Schedule - This job will be onsite weekly, the percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader. Apply
