About the Role

Operate a simple line/machine/palletiser or support operating a production line for hygiene products, manufacturing products according fixed specifications and Standard Operating Procedures. As member of the shift team the Operator is responsible for the performance of the machine.

 

What You Will Do

Work within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others to run the machine and watch the process and if necessary, adjust according to Essity Continuous Improvement Systems. Consult with Team Leader or skilled operators if required. Order and prepare raw materials / or products for palletizing and install them on the machine according to Standard Operating Procedures Maintain an adequate communication with previous and next shift as well as with other persons involved in running the machine Maintain an optimal housekeeping situation Support others in operating activities Secure the quality level of the products by regular checking against the product specification rejecting or blocking if necessary Complete all required documentation and data files during production

Who You Are

  • Demonstrate personal safety and help maintain a safe work environment for themselves and fellow members of the production team.  Responsible for following all company safety rules and guidelines.
  • Ensure quality standards and workmanship standards for Legacy products are met on a continuing basis.
  • In a timely manner, enter information in the provided production logs to state hourly production and whether work in process (WIP) is still in accordance with specified guidelines.
  • Notify supervisor of production completion and prep machines for next production run, to include removal of empty cores and loading of new raw materials.
  • Keep the warehouse (and facility) clean, organized and efficiently maintained.
  • Coordinate and communicate with production teams (on all shifts) about daily warehouse plan.
  • Assess, improve and communicate space and material flow requirements needed for present (and future) demand.
  • Assist with the Production Teams in the making of product, as needed.
  • Focus on continually improving the workflow of the area.
  • Communicate information to all levels of the company when necessary.
  • Ability to read and interpret the production schedule and associated documents.

Compensation: $17.50-$21/Hr (Within a year based on skill and operation level post training) + Benefits in medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance plans maintained by the Company and the Company's Investment & Retirement Plan (401(k) Plan)
