Leidos QTC Health Services is hiring a Master Scheduler. This is an exciting opportunity to use your scheduling experience to help manage our large innovation and transformation project  portfolio.

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of creating a maintaining a resource loaded Integrated Agile Master Schedule  and managing project dependencies, milestones, deliverables and resource conflicts while remaining flexible to accommodate changes and evolving requirements.   In depth master scheduling skills and techniques in agile project environments will be required to facilitate meetings and work one-on-one to ascertain project iterative planning activities, resources, requirements, predecessors, successors, impacts, milestones, etc.

The candidate will construct and maintain MS Project plans daily, distribute weekly, run reports, and generate various scheduling and timeline views.

This role reports through the Transformation Management Office Lead and can be remote with travel requirements to participate in complex planning and other schedule management meetings in Northern Virginia, South-West Texas, and/or Southern California.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participating in agile project planning activities and capturing objectives, milestones and deliverables from high-level project roadmap or release plans
  • Developing and maintaining milestone and deliverable schedules across all transformation projects
  • Ensuring internal and external dependencies are documented and tracked
  • Perform schedule estimating through elicitation of team members and other stakeholders to capture estimations of new work, updated actuals and remaining work
  • Setting and maintaining the baseline schedule and tracking all changes to the baselined schedule on a weekly basis.
  • Reporting changes to schedules and determining impacts to deliverables
  • Perform ‘what if' scenarios within the schedule.
  • Developing and maintaining the schedule risk register and tracking actions to minimize, mitigate and or manage schedule risks
  • Generating schedule reports based on planned vs actual work.
  • Implementing portfolio scheduling business rhythms, developing baseline schedules and associated artifacts to meet requirements, and monitoring, analyzing, and reporting performance against them
  • Strong open and collaborative communications skills with the ability to mentor and guide the teams to effectively balance the need to be agile and keep our promises

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in a related discipline with 12 years of relevant experience or Masters with 10 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience managing schedules for agile projects
  • Proven working knowledge of MS Project and/or other schedule management tools (e.g., MS Project Server/Deltek Open Plan)
  • Experienced with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) architecture (e.g., WBS or IMP based)
  • Proven working knowledge of implementing and managing a resource loaded Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) schedule
  • Ability to work independently with overall responsibility for the Master Schedule
  • Proven ability to work well within a team/collaborative environment.
  • If applicable, must be able to pass a federal background check and/or obtain and maintain additional clearances as specified by the contract (e.g., NACI, PIV, SMS, TMS).

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working on Health Technology program and agile project environments
