Position Description

The UX Lead reports to the AVP of User Experience & Website Design at Healthy Paws. This is a pivotal role focused on the rapid evolution of our digital products and web presence. This role will work to enhance user motivation to purchase/remain a customer through UX design, backed by a deep understanding of user behaviors and business cases. The ideal candidate will bring past experience in collecting and using data to drive better UX, through hands-on design and vendor partnerships.

Required:

  • Strong strategic orientation - desire to deeply understand the business and how UX integrates with other marketing workstreams (SEO, Paid Media, Email, Social)
  • Demonstrable experience using analytics/testing results to drive design that supports business KPIs
  • Ability to gather/workshop business stakeholder requirements
  • Research skills: competitive analysis and user testing (via UserTesting, Hotjar or similar)
  • Experience with design for CMS - re-usable design systems
  • Experience with design for both marketing and servicing UX
  • Experience with editing/tailoring copy for UX implemtation
  • UX for conversational UI - or other UX experience with AI integration
  • History of collaboration with tech teams, delivering UX assets, managing builds, UAT
  • Figma and Adobe Suite
  • Strong brand and visual design skills demonstrable through previous work
  • Ability to summarize and effectively present work to all levels of business stakeholders
  • Roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and desire to meet the needs of a lean team/start-up environment
Preferred:
  • Design for AEM - authoring a BIG plus
  • UX for direct-to-consumer businesses
  • Mural/Fig Jam or other extensive use of whiteboarding tools
  • SEO integration
  • Productive collaboration with vendor partners
  • Experience working within regulated industries and large corporations
Work Environment

Ideal candidate located in NJ (Whitehouse Station area), greater NYC or Philadelphia area
