What You'll Do:
As our Activities Director, you'll be responsible for developing, organizing, and leading a variety of individual and group activities designed to meet the physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of our residents. Your creativity and compassion will help create a vibrant, person-centered experience.
Responsibilities Include:
- Plan and implement daily, weekly, and monthly activity calendars
- Coordinate recreational, educational, cultural, and spiritual programs
- Organize special events, outings, and resident celebrations
- Encourage participation and adapt activities to meet resident interests and abilities
- Maintain accurate records, participation logs, and care plan documentation
- Supervise and mentor activities assistants and volunteers
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support resident well-being
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Activities Director or in a similar role in a skilled nursing or senior care setting preferred
- Knowledge of MDS/State activity documentation and regulations a plus
- Ability to lead engaging, age-appropriate group and one-on-one activities
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Certified Activity Director (or willingness to obtain certification) preferred
- Passion for enriching the lives of the elderly
