Sales Associate, Institutional Trust (Finance)

Provides sales support to sales team. Maintains up to date market research of target markets/sectors. Supports the RFP and sales teams to gather accurate information from the business and reviews RFP responses to ensure it is customized to prospects needs. Produces sales reports on a regular and ad hoc basis.

Work Model: Hybrid

Major Duties:

  • Maintain up to date market research of target markets/sectors.
  • Research new markets/sectors of interest to Northern Trust.
  • Research prospect profile and work alongside sales managers on key deals.
  • Support the RFP and sales teams as required to gather accurate, timely and quality information from the business and reviewing drafts ensuring the RFP is customized to prospects' needs.
  • Prepare fee models and proposals.
  • Prepare, support and coordinate all aspects relating to sales presentations and due diligence visits such as presentation booklets, supporting sales material, briefing memos and sessions, agendas, etc.
  • Maintain sales/prospect database.
  • Represent NT alongside sales team at certain conferences as appropriate.
  • Assist sales team in the preparation and running of certain NT conferences working alongside the events managers.
  • Produce monthly prospect and sales snapshot reports and quarterly sales insight reports.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc sales reports as required by senior management.
  • Analyze prospect data to assist sales team focus on target markets/prospects, differentiators and product gaps.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of financial products and services and basic sales concepts usually obtained through related work experience or formal education is required to assist with sales process.
  • Data analytics and visualization tools suchas at SQL, Tableau, Power BI and Excel preferred.
  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required to interact with clients.

Experience :2 or more years of related experience.

Salary Range:
$88,900 - 151,100 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
