The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the appearance, functionality, and overall upkeep of guest units, resort buildings, pools, and common areas. This role performs general and preventative maintenance, responds promptly to guest needs, and helps create a positive, memorable vacation experience for our guests.
The Maintenance Technician:
Performs general maintenance in guest units, buildings, pools, and common areas as assigned
Uses hand and power tools safely and effectively
Troubleshoots and repairs issues related to carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC
Repairs and installs appliances as needed with minimal supervision
Maintains plumbing systems, including pipes, drains, faucets, disposals, showers, tubs, and toilets
Identifies and addresses electrical issues involving equipment, outlets, fixtures, and switches
Conducts inspections and preventative maintenance to protect the guest experience
Reports, responds to, and repairs safety issues throughout the resort
Completes daily assignments in a timely manner, prioritizing work orders and keeping in communication with the department and front desk
Helps maintain the property's appearance by picking up debris, cleaning exterior fixtures, and managing spills as needed
The Maintenance Technician may also:
Clean and maintain pools and pool decks, ensuring proper operation and balanced water chemistry
Assist with grounds maintenance and painting projects
Perform regular power washing of buildings and common areas
Prepare and secure property for storms or other weather events
Maintain company vehicles, ensuring they are in good operating condition
Assist guests with special needs to enhance their stay
Collect, recycle, and dispose of property waste as required
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education/Credentials
Experience
This position requires at least two years prior experience in a general maintenance position or equivalent technical training.

The Maintenance Technician works both inside and outside in different weather conditions, which vary across locations. This position requires the regular use of hand tools and mechanical equipment that require manual dexterity. Hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
