Customer Liaison

3rd Shift Schedule: (Overnight) 10:00pm-6:30am
M-F with rotating Saturdays

Summary

The Customer Liaison will support and interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about operations and services. This role will be located at the General Motors Plant in Wentzville, MO.

Essential Functions

Act as primary onsite contact for GM Materials personnel Communicate with GM, TVS, and vendor associates to ensure adequate parts inventory is maintained Keeping accurate records of discussions and correspondence with customers Performing detailed inventory functions and communicating findings to TVS and GM Materials departments Analyzing statistics or other data to determine the level of customer service the organization is providing Producing written information for customers, often involving the use of computer packages/software Writing reports analyzing the customer service that your organization provides Follow proper GM and TVS alarm processes when inventory issues are identified Developing feedback or complaints procedures for customers to use Providing help and advice to customers using your organizations products or services Communicating courteously with customers by telephone, email, letter and face-to-face Investigating and solving customers problems, which may be complex or long-standing problems Handling customer complaints or any major incidents Perform special projects, duties, and responsibilities assigned by manager

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The associate is occasionally required to sit or stand, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures. Safety glasses and vests are required for personal protective equipment (PPE).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-Time, Exempt. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.

Travel

Limited local travel between the customer plant and the TVS SCS site.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent Ability to use mathematical equations to compute productivity reports Knowledge of OSHA standards and proven safety record Knowledge of ISO quality systems Ability to operate package handling equipment Computer skills and operational knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Working knowledge in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) Ability to work in stressful environments and effectively resolve conflict
Experience working in a warehouse and/or working in a JIT (Just-In-Time Inventory) environment, preferred Associate or bachelors degree, preferred
