Program Director 3 - Analytics for Law Career Development (Finance)
1. Administers a complex center or multiple departments.
2. Manages budget and engages in strategic planning to ensure all goals are met.
3. Hires and directs the activities of staff.
4. Resolves personnel issues as they arise.
5. Engages in budget-planning, grant oversight, and policy development.
6. Implements new programs and projects and monitors ongoing activities of department or center.
7. Reviews department policies and processes and implements improvements as needed.
8. Represents department or center to internal and external constituents.
9. Performs other job-related duties as required.
Additional Job Duties:
This position works with JD career counselors to track, analyze, strategize, and implement employment opportunities for law students. The position will occasionally present professional development trainings and assist law students and alumni with resume and cover letter reviews, mock interviews, and legal career counseling.
Given that this position will primarily track the efficacy of department programming, prior experience gained in a legal or JD preferred position doing any of the following activities will be considered as job-related experience:
• Gathering, analyzing, and reporting large data sets;
• Training, assisting, advising, supervising and mentoring junior attorneys;
• Preparing, hosting and/or delivering law student and/or junior attorney trainings and presentations;
• Conducting outreach to law students and/or junior attorneys;
• Delivering or assisting with law student and/or junior attorney mentoring, networking and recruiting events;
• Delivering or assisting with retention of law students and/or junior attorneys;
• Advising law students and/or junior attorneys in any capacity;
• Counseling law students and/or junior attorneys during difficult situations;
• Counseling and advising non lawyer clients; and
• Assisting with onboarding and orientation of new hires.
Education will be considered in lieu of experience.
MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None.
