F-16 Supply Technician (Project Management)

About the role
PKL Services will be providing contractor Intermediate and Depot Level maintenance in support of PMA-226, Adversary and Specialized Aircraft at Naval Air Station Fallon, NV.

The Supply Technician II performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Performs Equipment Account Manager duties.

Key responsibilities:

The work generally involves supply actions related to inventorying, tagging, and cataloging parts on a save list before airframe disposal, and TCTO / Modification Kit build, inventorying, ordering, inspecting, and usage. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.
Assignments require:
a. A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines to include Naval Aviation Supply.
b. An understanding of the needs of the organization serviced, which includes performing duties outside the normal scope of Supply work.
c. Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
Responsible for long-term accountability of Composite Tool Kits, Equipment items, and Test Equipment.
Maintain and control Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) and Environmental Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) items.
Accurately document all supply actions taken via the NALCOMIS/OOMA automated system.
Expected to be a key player on a small team with limited career fields using cross-utilization training to accomplish tasks outside of normal categories.
Any and all other duties as assigned by the Program Manager or Site Manager.

Required educational/skills background:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Prior qualified/certified 7-level with a minimum of five (5) years of Aviation Maintenance Supply experience or Air Force/Navy equivalent.

Ability to work on a small team performing F-16 modifications and refurbishment, often performing work outside the Supply career field with appropriate training.

Proficiency with NALCOMIS OOMA automated maintenance documentation system within the first 90 days of employment.

Ability to perform all Supply Systems work center designated tasks as outlined in the various Navy and local directives.

Knowledge of the learning process and how to transfer technical knowledge to less qualified personnel, including the ability to express thoughts in both oral and written communications.

Working knowledge of the CNAFINST 4790.2 (NAMP), Naval Aviation Maintenance Program Standard Operating Procedures (NAMSOPs) and local NAMPSOP instructions or ability to quickly grasp this knowledge after employment.

A valid State Drivers license.

U.S. citizenship.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This position requires normal physical functions.
Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing.
May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.
Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions.
Normal color/depth perception and no record of emotional instability are required.
May be required to work in areas in or near a hangar/flight line that may be noisy at times.
May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind.
May be required to wear personal protective equipment when in or passing through a hazardous area.
Office environment, hangar and flightline.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud at times.
