Senior Project Manager - Global Logistics (Finance)

Job Description
Primary Function of the Position

The Logistics & Distribution Project Manager will be an integral part of the Global Logistics Project Management team, responsible for implementing RFPs, COE initiatives, and Logistics & Distribution programs. This person will manage cross-functional and cross-Business Unit improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, capacity, scalability, and efficiency. They will partner on project chartering, facilitation, governance, and tracking of other COE projects at Intuitive. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex project management, a good comprehension of logistics and distribution programs, Centers of Excellence, project management tools, and infrastructure.

Essential Job Duties

  • Execute projects identified by Global Logistics management within the required budget, timelines, and given infrastructure.
  • Adhere to project structure from inception, including development of project scope, success metrics, ROI, RACI, resource needs, to successful completion.
  • Develop and maintain project management infrastructure (e.g., Smartsheet, Box folders, MS Project).
  • Manage the development of Project Management Playbooks, guidelines, and other tools utilized by the project.
  • Establish and maintain clear information flow across the organization and set up regular project status reviews.
  • Partner with upstream and downstream partners to interpret process pain points and drive improvements impacting cross-functional KPIs.
  • Evaluate, design, drive, and facilitate applicable reviews/audits of key planning processes and identified gaps/risks to appropriate closure.
  • Monitor the creation and execution of project charters, collaborator analyses, and process maps to aid in project initiation and planning.
  • Present project updates, findings, and detailed, prioritized recommendations to sponsors and key collaborators in various formats.
  • Partner with Global Process Owners to implement system and process improvements ensuring alignment and consistency.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience working with various collaborators.
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting in front of leadership.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Experience in logistics and distribution environments is highly encouraged.
  • Fluent English language skills (both verbal and written) required.
  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience working with or leading IT teams in developing ERP (SAP) solutions.
  • Experience working with general contractors and familiarity with GC terminology.
  • Experience working for a global organization across multiple functions and regions.
  • Highly proactive with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Enthused by the passion for learning and development.

Required Education and Training
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, engineering, or similar, or an equivalent blend of work and certification experience required.
  • Excellent project management skills required. PMP certification preferred.
  • User experience with Smartsheet.
  • Familiarity with ISO13485:2016 and MDSAP.
  • Professional user of Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, or similar required.

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Team leadership and development training.
  • Six Sigma training.
  • APICS certification (optional)
