SUMMARY - This position manages production scheduling, inventory control, shipping/receiving, warehouses, and purchasing to maintain customer service and minimize product and shipping costs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned this position may be required to work daily and/or weekend overtime.

  1. Schedule production line based on customer requirements
  2. Ship product to customers
  3. Responsible for housekeeping and working within the company HS&E guidelines
  4. Evaluate plant capacity and correct shortfalls
  5. Maintain inventory reports/records
  6. Manage plant inventories to target levels
  7. Maintain management reports, inventory, TQM objectives
  8. Responsible for continual improvement within department including BIC indicators
  9. This position is responsible for safety elements (subject to change):

Regulatory Compliance

Workplace Traffic Management

  1. Problem solving and trouble shooting
  2. Procedure writing and implementation
  3. Understand BIC Key performance indicators and develop and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed company targets.
  4. Drive lean principles to reduce waste and implement 5S and Kaizens in department
  5. Ensure good communications across shifts, departments
  6. Participate in problem solving, VSM, Kaizen projects
  7. Implement SOT's, standard work
  8. Audit for standard work, quality, understanding HSE
  9. Train, disqualify, qualify, and audit performance on teammates

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University or two to five years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
