IT Business Partner – Manufacturing Operations (Information Technology)



The IT Business Partner – Manufacturing Operations (USCAN Assembly Sites) is a strategic leader responsible for enabling operational excellence across manufacturing operations. This role serves as the primary liaison between Manufacturing Assembly sites and IT. This role will Leverage ERP Knowledge and process improvement strategies that will drive measurable efficiencies in the assembly workflows, streamline processes, help improve OEE and reduce waste. The role is accountable to drive initiatives that optimize production, drive sustained business value, and elevate performance throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Business & IT Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted advisor to manufacturing operations leadership, foster strong partnerships across USCAN assembly sites and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Enable end-to-end business processes through system solutions, with a particular focus on leveraging QAD expertise to drive business value and outcomes.
  • Define, measure, and drive performance metrics in collaboration with manufacturing operation teams utilizing QAD and other manufacturing application capabilities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to design pragmatic IT solutions, ensuring comprehensive integration of QAD systems, that address operational challenges and support strategic objectives.

Manufacturing Transformation & Innovation

  • Develop and maintain business capability/ technology strategy roadmap for Manufacturing Operations aligned with business impact and value creation.
  • Lead IT-enabled transformation initiatives in partnership with manufacturing operations, with a focus on optimizing and expanding QAD utilization.
  • Develop and maintain business capability/technology strategy roadmap for Manufacturing Operations, integrating QAD capabilities to enhance business impact and value creation.
  • Digitize and optimize manufacturing and quality processes using advanced technologies, including QAD modules and functionalities.
  • Drive digital initiatives partnering with Analytics/AI team to drive manufacturing transformation

Portfolio Delivery /Execution/Deployment

  • Deliver assigned Portfolio on time and within budget, ensuring measurable business outcomes partnering with global apps and analytics
  • Apply structured project /Portfolio and change management methodologies to ensure successful implementation, user adoption, and sustained business value.
  • Drive outcomes as appropriate to work complexity, as defined by organizational standards.
  • Exercise full accountability for assigned tasks and ensure alignment with team and organizational goals.

Continuous Improvement & Accountability

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Ability to set context for others, delegate effectively, and ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Influences decision-making through data-driven insights, stakeholder engagement, and clear articulation of priorities.
  • Experience in solving problems that require cross-functional coordination, systemic thinking, and multi-step planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in IT roles supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading manufacturing process improvement projects using QAD and other manufacturing systems (Maximo, SPC, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimization methodologies.
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, leadership, and project management skills.
