Manager, Regional EVS (Engineering)



JOB SUMMARY
As a Regional EVS Manager, you will be responsible for managing the associates in the Environmental Services Department with the oversight of the Director of Environmental Service. Responsible for managing, planning, coordinating and developing the overall operation of Environmental Services in the Surgical Center, CARTI site light location establishing policies and procedures, objectives and work standards to maintain facilities in a clean, sanitary and attractive condition and in accordance with CARTI values and expectations.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Ensure assigned CARTI facilities are safe, clean, and meets Environmental Services operational standards. Routinely train, educate and perform audits to ensure EVS standards are met within assigned facilities.Manage Environmental Services supervisors and staff including employee life cycle such as hiring, training/educating, recognition, performance management, and termination.Ensure Environmental Services team members understand and follow department and CARTI best practices and policies, established safety rules, and fire and disaster procedures while performing daily tasks.Manage and develop employee competencies, best practices, and training programs to ensure compliance with ADH and OSHA regulations, other government entities, and accreditation organizations.Collaborate and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to better understand needs and challenges. Manages the implementation and delivery of customer solutions that includes improvement of patient satisfaction results as it relates to EVS.Identify opportunities to standardize supply purchasing and reduce expenses. Analyze expenses, savings, compliance, and rebate data and provide findings and recommendations to EVS Director, AVP, and other stakeholders. Assists facility leadership with productivity assessments to meet established EVS labor savings goals.Coordinates outside services (i.e. Pest Control, Window Cleaning, Medical and Solid Waste, Document Destruction, and Recycling program).Conduct bi-weekly site visit and inspection in your designated region.Ensures regulated medical waste is handled, packaged, stored and disposed of in accordance with federal and state regulations, and appropriate documentation is maintained.Collaborate in managing all quality improvement initiatives regarding training, auditing, inspecting, rounding, and making recommendations as needed.Collaborates with the EVS director to establish dashboard metrics to track operations and improvement initiatives.Promotes a culture of safety, hand hygiene, patient experience, as well as employee engagement and retention.Manage EVS inventory to ensure sufficient level of supplies, disinfectants, equipment, etc. are maintained to provide a clean, safe and sanitary environment. Oversees equipment maintenance in accordance to manufacturers specifications.Create and provide operational reporting based on EVS metrics, goals, accomplishments, and future plans.Plan and establish Environmental Services policies and procedures in assigned CARTI Facilities. Reviews policies periodically to ensure it meets CARTI needs.Other duties as assigned

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have reliable source of transportation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Environmental Services supervisors and staff
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE and REGISTRATION:
High school diploma or G.E.D. (required)Current valid Arkansas Drivers LicenseMust obtain CHEST certification and CSCT within 90 days.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Required: Minimum of two (2) year housekeeping experience; preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.Required: Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory role; preferably within an Environmental Services department.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
